Greeves, Grumphs,and Triumphs

Here's some Greeves, a Grumph, and a couple of Triumphs from last year at the Clubmans show, San Jose.

Here are some pics for you Bodger, figured this would be easier than sending an e-mail. Besides I need the practice on this blog stuff. Up early and looking at pics on the puter. Thinking about our talk of  competition possibilities over at your blog. Lo and behold had some Greeves and others .

  1. There's something about Greeves that I like, maybe it's the styling or somethig, but they just look right to me.

That "Grumph" looked really nice....thought it was an actual full fledged Triumph until I looked again and saw that it was a Triumph/Greeves special or hybrid or whatever you want to call them.

Thanks for sharing that Larry....that made being here at work easier.

  3. Know what you mean. A look at some cool bike stuff on break or at lunch can help make the day go by...

  4. Was looking before work started this morning and it did make the day go by....

I clicked on the Grumph pic to inbiggerate it and have to say that is a really good looking bike. The motor certainly doesn't look out of place in the frame and all the parts mesh well together like it came like that from the Greeves factory.

Any info on it or just a nice Kodak moment that presented itself?

That is a one for the 'puter pic section!

  5. That particular "Grumph" really is a nice job. Sorry no info, the owner was probably off trying to wangle a deal on that frame...I've always liked the frame construction with the cast aluminum front beam section. It seems well engineered and does give it a distinctive look, that and the "leading-link" or "Earles" type front end.
