First Snow, it's Winter...

Did several hours of cross-country/back-country skiing up at the Echo Lake/Echo summit area this past Saturday. Snow was perfect. On the road out of the Sno-Park area we spotted this old cabin, in a state of 'un-arrested decay'.

Took my Cub Magazine T-shirt skiing. As usual we were over dressed, and could have got along with just a T-shirt. The weather was very spring like. Here's hoping for a good winter and ski season.

    1. Ha ha, well Jack London Square is over in Oakland a couple hours away from here. Sonoma, where he had his farm/ranch (when he wasn't sailing around the world...)is not far away either.

    1. The Cub Mag is a pretty new, little mag put out by GBC (Gorgeous Biker Chick). It's about all things Triumph Tiger Cub and Terrier (or is it terrior?...I'll have to check my spelling...)Her blogs are linked over to the right and down. I have to blame her for getting me into the blogger thing...Among other things, she is a moto-journalist who once restored and rode a Triumph Cub through all the current and old counties of Scotland to raise money for a charity. Besides her regular job, she and her mother(Mrs.BC)run a holding in Scotland where sheep and other animals are raised (It really gets snowed in where they live!)Among several other bike projects, she is currently putting together a Cub for trials, and I can blame her for my starting a trials Cub project...Ha Ha...

    1. My guess is about 3 to 4 feet in some places, didn't see anything official about it. Was good enough for skiing. Hoping we get some more soon.
