About a year ago at a swap meet, I found this 'Silhouette' model that was used to train soldiers what a particular aircraft looked like, so that it was recognizable from enemy aircraft. This is a P-61. My father flew in the F-15 Reporter photo reconnaisance version, while he served in Korea.
Here is a link to a Wikipedia page about this aircraft------------->P-61 info
I'm going to incorporate this model in a display case of memorabilia related to my fathers military career. My father passed away in the 90's due to Agent Orange caused cancer from serving in another war. My Uncle Howard, a World War Two vet is still alive and has visited the Viet Nam War Memorial. I imagine he is having dinner tonight, at the place he lives in Canada, with his usual dinner partners. One is a Canadian vet from WW2, the other is a veteran of the German Army from WW2.
